Can you do any acting at a University and a agent will still like you if you don't go to one in L.A or NYC?

I don't think I will have any way to NYC. But this is literally my dream and I will do anything to be where I wanna be. But I live in Ohio. If I go do acting at a University in Ohio will an agent still like me even if I didn't go to an acting University in New York or Los Angeles, CA.? I want to do a drama school acting at a University and more but I am scared that if I do all that stuff in Ohio then an agent won't like me as the other ones that did all that stuff in Los Angeles, CA or New York.
